Bollywood film maker Anurag Kahsyap bought the remake rights of the film 'Magadheera'. Sources say that he narrated the story to Hrithik Roshan to make him play the lead as Kalabhairav. But Hrithik laughed at the script as per eye witnesses.
It is in fact shocking news to know. The film that entertained millions of Telugus was ruled out by big Bollywood star with a satirical laugh?!
Looking at the right side of the coin, there are indeed Telugu audience those didn’t like Magadheera. The percentage of such audience is very small and negligible but it is unfortunate that Hrithik also has fallen in that category. It is said that Hrithik was made watch the film 'Magadheera' to take final decision, but the star was firm on his stand. He said 'no' to do it.
Hence Anurag Kashyap has chosen Ranveer Singh of 'Band Baja Baraat' to play the lead. Though Anurag has ideas to pull some powerful youth icon for the subject, no one fits well than Ranveer Singh for the role in the view point of Anurag.
